Privacy Policy

What we collect

• — Resume content you upload: the file itself and the text, skills, and history extracted from it.
• — Account data: email address, and authentication data if you sign in with Google.
• — Usage data: pages visited, analyses run, and job matches viewed, via Vercel Analytics and (if enabled) Google Analytics.
• — Job descriptions you paste or link for match analysis.
• — Payment data for paid plans, handled entirely by our payment processor, Polar — we never see or store your card number.

How we use it

Resume and job-description data is used exclusively to generate your own analysis, score, job matches, cover letters, and interview questions. It is not used to train shared or third-party models, and it is not shown to any other user. We use your email to send account-related messages (verification, billing, product updates you can opt out of) — never to recruiters or advertisers.

Third parties we use

• — Supabase — database, authentication, and file storage.
• — OpenAI and Anthropic — process resume and job text to generate analysis; text is sent per-request and is not used by these providers to train their models under our API terms.
• — Polar — subscription billing and payment processing.
• — Vercel — hosting and analytics.

We never sell your data

We do not sell resumes, job-search activity, or contact information to third parties, recruiters, or advertisers, under any circumstances.

Your rights and deletion

You can delete your resume, account, and all associated analyses at any time from your dashboard settings, or by emailing support@getcareerscore.com. Deletion removes the underlying data from our production database; backups are purged on our standard rolling retention cycle. If you're in the EU/UK, this includes your rights under GDPR to access, correct, or export your data — contact us for a copy of anything we hold on you.

Cookies

We use essential cookies for authentication (via Supabase) and, where enabled, analytics cookies to understand product usage in aggregate. We don't use third-party advertising cookies or trackers.

Changes to this policy

If we make a material change to how we handle your data, we'll update the date at the top of this page and, for significant changes, notify account holders by email.
